The admission to FPM of IIMK will be open to all Indian citizens, Non-Resident Indians, Persons of Indian Origin and foreigners. Admission will be based on academic qualifications, performance in the qualifying examination, personal interviews and work experience. Candidates will be assessed for their intellectual abilities and research aptitude. Eligibility
Academic Eligibility: One of the following qualifications will be required as basic eligibility.

Post-Graduate degree or equivalent in any dis- cipline (including M.A, M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MCA, M.Tech etc) with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Professional qualifications of CA, ICWA and CS
with at least 50% marks or equivalent.

Professional qualifications such as MBBS and LLB with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Engineering degrees, viz., B.Tech and BE, with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
Those appearing for the final exams can also apply; but, their final selection will be subject to successful completion of the requirement by June
30, 2008. Their admission will be provisional till they produce the required certificates of qualifi- cation before December 2008.
All relevant qualifications mentioned above must be granted by appropriate bodies in India or abroad and recognized as equivalent.
Qualifying Examination: A candidate apply- ing for FPM of IIMK should have a valid test score not older than two years from the date of applica- tion in any of the following tests.
1. CAT conducted by IIMs
2. GMAT/GRE (General/Advanced)
3. UGC/CSIR-JRF
4. GATE
(For tests at serial Nos.2-4 results should have been out before the date of application)
Respective areas will decide its own choice of tests
(one or multiple) from among the tests listed above.
Relaxation: Candidates possessing PGDM of IIMs with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.33 or equivalent will be eligible for applying directly, with-out again taking a qualifying examination.
IIMK encourages applications from Non-Resident Indians, Persons of Indian origin and foreign citizens. Such candidates should have a valid GMAT/ GRE score of not older than 2 years from the date of application.
Selection
Personal Interview: The shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview at IIMK (or any other venue fixed by the Institute) on dates to be mentioned in the call letter for interview. In the in- terviews, the candidates will be assessed for their intellectual capabilities and research aptitude as well as their interest in management discipline. Candi- dates called for interviews, where they are resident in India, will be reimbursed travel fare up to III AC train fare from their place of residence to IIMK and back by the shortest route.
