International Student Exchange Programme - Accommodation and Expenses

The International Exchange Students are exempted from payment of tuition fees. However, the visiting students will be required to bear their travel expenses and all living expenses during their stay at IIM Kozhikode. IIM Kozhikode may provide accommodation to the visiting students at the student hostels. The hostels provide modestly furnished single rooms with common bathrooms at the end of every student corridor. The rooms are not provided with individual personal computers, but connectivity is available if students can arrange their own personal computers and a well-equipped computer lab is just adjacent to the hostel. Students usually take all their meals in student messes and canteens. The hostel fee for a Term is INR 16,000/- (USD 385). The monthly food expenses may hover around USD 90 (about Rs.4000/-), a budget of USD 300 (about Rs.13,500/-) per month may ensure a very comfortable stay even if one is tempted to explore occasionally a little bit of the Indian cuisine available outside the IIM Kozhikode campus.
