International Student Exchange Programme - Programme Structure
The first year of the Programme is devoted to basic courses in all management and management-related disciplines, while the second year offers the opportunity of gaining breadth and depth in at least two major areas. Combinations in specialization such as finance and marketing, information technology and marketing or finance are currently find favor with students and industry recruiters. There is a compulsory summer project of about seven months' duration, which is undertaken with a corporate sponsor anywhere in India or abroad.
Students are required to complete at least 15 credits in Term IV; 12 credits in Term V and 12 credits in Term VI with a unit of credit corresponding to ten hours of classroom contact with course instructors. Courses may vary in terms of the volume of content from 1.5 to 3 credits. The maximum load of courses which may be taken in terms is restricted to 18 credits for Terms IV and V and 15 credits for Term VI. Students have to take at least 15 course credits in their areas of specialization. Project-based courses, tailored to suit the competencies and preferences of individual faculty members and students, are also offered. Instruction and evaluation usually consist of several components such as classroom lectures, assignments, projects, term papers, case studies, group discussions and role plays.
