This FAQ is list of short answers to some of the frequent queries received by us. The answers below will help you get started with your interaction with Library & Information Center (LIC). If you do not find what you are looking for, kindly visit Library or call at 91-495-283002 Ext: 140/144/146/147.

1. As a PGP student, how many books am I entitled to issue and for what period of time?

PGP students may borrow up to 5 books from the Text Book for a period of up to 15 days.

2. How can I access the library catalogue from my room?

Click on "OPAC" from the 'Catalogue' Button and select the appropriate catalogue you are looking for.

3. What are the various electronic resources available in the library?

There are a number of E-Services available. Please check up at "Databases/E-journals/Services"

4. How can I find out where a particular section of the library is actually located?

A detailed floor map of the LIC is available on clicking here. For further information on a particular section, please contact the persons in charge of that section.

5. I want to get information about, say, the audiovisual facilities in the library. Whom should I contact?

6. What are the working hours for the library?

9:00 am to 9:00 pm on all working days and Saturdays (9:00 am to 5.30 pm)

7. Can I carry my personal books into the library?

You are permitted to bring personal books inside the Library, provided those are stamped and certified, as your personal book, by the Library officials.

8. Can I issue books from the Reference section?

No. Students are not allowed to issue books from Reference section. These have to be used within the respective section, and explicit permission is required to take these out of the section.
